Humility - The Cornerstone of Strength

Humility. What is it? Do you move in relationship with it? Do you sense it as an active component to your life?

I like to define humility as a "feeling" of gratitude at a heart level. While moving in the world with this feeling we can become aware of the incredible opportunity that living in the world today has to offer us.
We are seeing extremes in every facet of life. The world is changing so fast that we can use that transition to feel a greater sense of humility within our life in the ways that we have the opportunity to grow and be. In the American culture it is common for us to lose this feeling very often as the desire and "need" for more and more leave us with a sense of emptyness inside. If we can move in our life in such a way as to feel the power in our gifts and talents and utilize them with integrity, then life can become an amazing adventure of "surrender" into who we are at a level that transcends the ability to verbalize.
When you feel the space in you that no words can describe and yet you are in a state of complete gratitude for your life -- then we could say that this is very close to the pure essence of humility. You "KNOW" that you are loved, and supported to be here to live your life. Standing in this doorway of life is the cornerstone of strength that can move mountains. To master humility is to master integrity. At this point we are moving in such a way as to have a "Knowing at the level of the Heart" that our life is an expression of beauty.
Think of a flower. A flower requires support from Mother Earth to stand up on, Fire from the Sunlight, and Rain from the Sky. This world supports those key ingredients. The flower then blooms. This expression of life changes all who come into contact with the flower. It reminds you of beauty, softness, tenderness, aroma, and change and magic. Yet the courage and strength that it takes for a flower to "be" comes from a knowing that life supports life. You are your own flower and it is time for you to bloom. Humility is your gateway to this ability to bloom and express the beauty of your Heart to the world. Your time has come, let everyone see, so that they may have the courage to bloom as well.
